PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Rosalia Mercuri, a resident of Port Chester, died Feb. 6 at the age of 83.
A retired seamstress, Mercuri was a member of the San Fili Fraternity Club in Port Chester.
The daughter of Joe and Maria Gentile Provenzano, she was born Aug. 16, 1928 in the town of San Fili in Cosenza, Italy. In 1966, Mercuri immigrated to the U.S. and settled in Port Chester. She married Edoardo Mercuri, who predeceased her in 1984.
Mercuri is survived by her daughters Maria (Piero) Satino of Port Chester and Angela (Rocco) Varbaro of North White Plains, her son Tony Mercuri of Norwalk, Conn., her brother Frank Provenzano of Port Chester, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Craft Memorial Home in Port Chester. The funeral mass begins at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester followed by entombment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Rye Brook.
